10 Reasons we love The Omni La Costa Resort and Spa

Living in Huntington Beach, we always love a good Stay-cation!  We are so lucky we never have to go far to have a great time.  This spring break we took our families and drove an hour south to the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.  The Omni hotel is surrounded by the lush greenness of Carlsbad, you almost feel like you are in Hawaii.  The grounds are so gorgeous and fragrant, we constantly were surrounded by the smell of citrus from all the Orange and Lemon trees surrounding the hotel.  The weather was perfect, we truly felt so spoiled to be able to spend time with our families in such a special place.

Here are the TOP 10 REASON WE LOVE THE OMNI LA COSTA RESORT AND SPA

1. THE ROOMS

Our rooms were beautiful, clean and all had balconies that led out to a patio with soft green grass that the kids could run around on.  The bathrooms were amazing with huge tubs for the kids and rain showers for the adults.  We didn’t spend much time in these luxurious spaces, but they were definitely a the cherry on top to come back to after a long day at the pool.   

2. THE POOLS

Check out these cute buns!  haha.  These cuties are definitely little sun goddesses and soaked up all the sun their little tan bodies could take in (don’t worry, they were lathered in sunscreen).  This view of the golf course was right off the pool deck.  Are you in love with this place yet?  And you haven’t even seen the pools…Our families swam all day in and out of the waterslides, pools and hot tubs. Check this place out!

3. THE SPLASH PAD

The littles first ran to the splash pad and had the time of thier lives.  We loved watching these kids battle and laugh their way in and out of all the fun sprinklers.  

3. THE BIG WATERSLIDES

While the littles were splashing around, the big girls geared up for the big waterslide.   Justin and Jamie are hilarious and were so excited to join the big girls.  4. THE KIDDIE SLIDE

The littles were not left out.  This slide was so fun for the shorties that weren’t quite tall enough for the big slides.  Even little Lucy went up and down this slide at least 10 times. 

5. THE SANDY BEACH FAMILY POOL

I especially loved the kiddie pool with the beach entrance.  The sand felt so good on my feet, I was able to chill with Kota while watching the other kids safely play in the 1-3 ft deep pool.   The kids loved belly flopping thier sopping wet bodies into the sand and running back into the water like sandy monsters.   Ok, I think we should pause a moment to enjoy this sweet bundle of goodness!  Are you melting over this sweet baby?  We love our little boy so much!  6. THE FOOD

The poolside bar served the most deliscious dishes from salads, burgers, chicken fingers to our kids most favorite item Dip N Dots!  Baby Kota was loving on his first watermelon.7. THE FOUNTAINS AND GARDENS

After we cleaned up we wandered the grounds of the hotel.  The girls loved all the beautiful fountains and flowers.  Us moms loved all the great photo backdrops we could take pictures of these sweeties on.8. KIDTOPIA KIDS CLUB

The hotel also has an amazing Kids club called Kidtopia.  Check out how fun this room is!  This is the perfect place for kids to play and run wild while the adults head to the spa or the stunning adult pool.

9. THE SPA

Isn’t the entrance to the spa inviting?  Ok so Jamie and I didn’t have time this break, but this is where you will find us after we check in this summer!

10. THE SMORES!!!!

We ended our perfect days of swimming with perfect nights making smores and eating dinner by the fire pit.  If you purchase a small smores kit from the hotel, they provide all the additional marshmellows and smores fixings your kids can fit in their tummies (with a few in my belly)!
